The Chinese company DJI is apparently preparing for the coming holidays, as it has just presented another model of the dron. The product named Phantom 4 Pro is already the third unmanned this manufacturer, shown in the past few days.
This is the successor to the Phantom 4, which premiered in March this year. Unlike Inspire 2, which the Chinese manufacturer unveiled a few days ago, Phantom 4 Pro is not a model created for filmmakers but a general-purpose device.
Compared to the previous version, it has a better camera and a larger battery, has an obstacle avoidance system, and has more intelligent flight modes.
Phantom 4 Pro features a new 1 “CMOS sensor that captures images at 20 megapixels. The sensor also has a much better balance between white and black, giving better images with ever-changing lighting levels. Drona also features a mechanical shutter, and the lens can be adjusted, so the user can manually set the depth. The camera can shoot 14 frames per second and record video, including slow motion movies in 60 frames.
The big advantage of the product is the obstacle avoidance system, which functions thanks to the sensors placed on the four arms of the dron. This way, it can bypass obstacles from every direction. In this mode can also fly at a speed of 35 km / h to 50 km / h, and with the larger battery the flight length is from 25 to 30 minutes. The new optional controller with built-in display makes it easy to control the dron.
Even before the launch of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, it was speculated that their main processors could be manufactured by Samsung and TSMC. Gossip turned out to be true, and after the launch of new products discovered a surprising thing, namely the processors of both companies are different in size.
This information was disclosed by Chipworks, which has published the size of both the APL 0899 Samsung and APL1022 from TSMC on its backline. As you can see in the attached image, the A9 processor manufactured by TSMC is about 10 percent larger than the Samsung model. What is the difference? Probably related to the production process, which can make the chip of the Korean corporation more efficient than the rival system.
Apple has in the past used components from various manufacturers in its devices, which led to the fact that some components were more efficient than rival products. That was the case with MacBooks where SSDs from Samsung and Toshiba were installed. As you may have guessed, the first manufacturer’s drives were much faster. The same was true with the screens that the company Cupertino ordered simultaneously with Samsung and LG Display. Here too, the advantage of Samsung’s products was undeniable.
Electric vehicles are still very expensive, and because for most people the main purchase criterion is the price, their sales for the time being are only a fraction of the sales of all cars. However, analysts are predicting that by 2022 technology development will significantly reduce their price and may even drop to a level below that of engines with internal combustion engines.
Having an electric or hybrid car can build our well-being as a person who is not indifferent to the environment. Unfortunately, it also requires a suitably wealthy wallet.
However, Bloomberg New Energy Finance experts predict that the situation will change drastically in 2022, because until then, technology development will make electric vehicles cheaper than combustion versions. Nowadays, batteries are the biggest part of their price, and it is the work on new power systems that should have a significant impact on their price in the near future. Development work should also have the effect of significantly increasing the reach of such vehicles, and at the same time shortening the loading time and thus making them more useful.
Announced officially in November last year, the new Nokia N1 tablet, yesterday appeared in the pre-sale on the Chinese market, where it was offered for $ 256. Citizens of the Center apparently still love the Finnish consortium as they have bought all the equipment in just 4 minutes.
The return of Finnish Nokia to the mobile device market was only a matter of time. For the time being, the company is not yet able to sell smartphones under its own label, as it follows from the contract signed with Microsoft, but there is nothing to stop them from offering tablets.
So at the end of last year, the company announced its latest tablet called Nokia N1. The device features a 7.9-inch screen with IPS matrix and LED backlight that displays images at a resolution of 20148 x 1536 pixels.
The device is powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz and supports 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of usable memory. The manufacturer has also equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / n / ac with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB Type-C port, as well as two cameras: 8 Mpix and 5 Mpix. The entire battery powers the 5300 mAh battery, and functionality is maintained Android 5.0 Lollipop with overlay Z Launcher.
Thanks to the license agreement with Foxconn, the device can be sold under the Nokia brand, so it was immediately decided to introduce it to the Chinese market, where it officially debuts January 29. On Thursday, pre-sale began, which, as the media reported, proved to be a great success. It took only 4 minutes to sell all 20 thousand prepared copies.
No software is free from errors, and the most important question remains how quickly they will be discovered so users will not be exposed for too long. Unfortunately, sometimes the error has to wait years, but decades, as in the case of the vulnerability present in the printer software.
Vectra Networks specialists have discovered that for almost 20 years, Windows Print Spooler, there is a vulnerability. This tool communicates with the printer and allows you to print documents. The weak point of the system is the Point-and-Print protocol, which, when we connect to a network printer for the first time, automatically downloads drivers for our computer, so we do not have to do it manually.
Vectra Networks has found that Windows Print Spooler since Windows 95 does not verify printer drivers when they are installed from a remote location. This defect allows hackers to specially craft the drivers, attaching them to malware, and then using several different methods to deliver them to our computer, thus infecting the hardware. What’s worse, you can infect many computers connected to the network.
It is not mysterious that the Nazis possessed an extremely modern military technology, as exemplified by the V2 rockets. Not everyone knows that they have really extraordinary inventions in their pockets.
In the archive of Life magazine, in the issue of 1945, we find a description of an extraordinary technology which, if implemented, could completely change the fate of war. Well, German scientists are seriously considering building a solar cannon. In the orbit, a giant mirror would be placed to concentrate the sun’s rays, thus creating a wave of energy capable of smothering entire cities, or boiling a part of the ocean.
The originator of this weapon was Hermann Oberth, a scientist specializing in rocket design. His plan was to take 15 years and cost about 3 million marks. Its purpose was to create the weapons of ultimate destruction.
The design would be put into orbit in parts and then put together into one unit. A manned space station equipped with a mooring section could also be a weapon of choice, as well as hydroponic oxygen supplying gardens.
The plan seemed too bold at the time, and fortunately it was not successful. The Nazis were not the only ones who came up with a similar idea. In 1999, the Russians planned to use space mirrors to provide sunlight to their citizens during the winter.
The smugglers have yet to find a list of the problems that the world’s largest social networking site has to deal with. Facebook has become a place to trade prohibited goods, such as ivory or rhinoceros horns.
Facebook has more than 1.5 billion users worldwide, so it’s a pretty good place to promote and trade with your products. Unfortunately, these are not just legal goods but also those whose sale is strictly forbidden.
The British Guardian describes the results of an 18-month investigation by the Commission for Justice, Wildlife, which points to the fact that smugglers increasingly use Facebook to sell their goods. These are smuggled animals, as well as ivory or rhinoceros horns.
Investigators visited the Vietnamese village of Nhi Khe, where they discovered that over the last year, smugglers on the sale of prohibited goods through Facebook and WeChat, earned over $ 53 million. And it’s just one village profit and generated by 51 sellers, so you can only imagine how big are smugglers’ incomes on a global scale.
Smugglers do their business on Facebook with closed groups that can only be accessed by one of its members. This way their reporting is much more difficult because to do this you have to be in this group. And it is unlikely that one of its members would want to cut off the ivory.

Free Form Factory has unveiled the first fully electric electric scooter. The device is called Gratis X1 and thanks to the electric motor, it is much quieter and cheaper to use than typical scooters.
On land, electric vehicles are already something completely normal, as more and more cars and scooters are on the road, powered by ordinary electricity. The situation is quite different on the water, because the electric drive in boats is not very common.
However, the first step in the dissemination of this technology was made by Free Form Factory, which unveiled the latest electric scooter. The vehicle is called the X1 Gratis and thanks to the power supply it is not only much quieter than traditional scooters, but it is definitely cheaper to use because it does not need a lot of expensive gasoline.
Unfortunately, it also has a disadvantage, because on a single charge of the built-in battery will operate only 45 minutes. However, the manufacturer announces an additional battery pack that will extend this time to an hour.
The National Transport Safety Council will investigate the incident that took place during Facebook’s online Facebook test. The unmasked went through them on 28th June, but they did not succeed.
Nowadays it is hard to get around without internet but on our planet it is available. This problem is particularly serious in developing countries where the broadband internet many people can only dream of.
Facebook wants to change it and is working on a dron called Aquila, which in a very simplistic way is a flying signal relay. The machine has a 40-meter span of wings and is made entirely of carbon fiber, which reduces the weight of the entire machine.
The first Aquili test was conducted on June 28th and although Facebook is satisfied with the test, it has now come to light that dron has suffered structural damage during the landing. This aroused the interest of the National Transport Safety Council (NTSB). Officials want to thoroughly investigate the matter to make sure that the unmanned is safe and will not fall apart in the air, falling to people’s heads.
This is important because Aquila has been in the air for months, so if the design is not strong enough, it is better to know beforehand to be able to dispose of it early enough.
