| 'Lijori Apartment', Cotillo Sol, Fuerteventura is ideally situated on the edge of the Canarian fishing village of El Cotillo. Less than a 10 minute walk to the nearest beach and only a few minutes walk to the two small harbors, restaurants, shops and bus stop. A perfect year round location for a relaxing holiday for adults of all ages, couples and families. Ideal also, for those of us who prefer to escape from the larger resorts. Our spacious, modern, two bedroom apartment is furnished to a high standard and is fully equipped for up to four people. The entrance hall leads into an open plan lounge/dining/kitchen with patio doors leading to the main balcony which is not overlooked by other buildings. Here you can enjoy the shade when you want a rest from the sunshine. The balcony is furnished with a table and four chairs. A key feature is the large, individual roof terrace (50 sq metres) which has sun all day and is easily accessed from within the apartment. Sun loungers, including cushions, umbrellas, tables, chairs, shower and BBQ are all provided for your relaxation and al fresco dining. Enjoy the sunsets over El Cotillo and towards the sea, church and lighthouse. There are two bedrooms with twin beds, which can be pushed together or kept apart, as preferred. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes, an attractive rattan shelf unit, bedside tables, lamps and mirrors. El Cotillo, 45kms from the airport, is on the north-west coast of Fuerteventura, one of the most natural and least developed of the Canary Islands. It has some excellent traditional restaurants and several small supermarkets To appreciate El Cotillo you need to walk around and explore... take in the waves and sunsets at the old and new harbours and just relax... A short stroll south of the village, past El Toston Tower, brings you to sandy beaches ideal for water sports enthusiasts. To the north of the village, towards the lighthouse, is a unique coastline where offshore reefs of lava have made a barrier against the ocean waves and protect quite lagoons with sandy beaches. Although certainly not essential, car hire is recommended. The roads are very quiet, ideal for driving, giving you the opportunity to explore and discover, should you wish, different aspects of the island's culture, as well as the beaches. Visit La Alcogida Ecomuseum at Tefia, Betancuria, La Rosita and other places throughout the island. There is a reliable bus service from the village to Corralejo, the main resort in the north.
