Starting out from Islantilla, the first thing we come across is the fishing quarter of El Carmen, which looks very picturesque because of the way the fishermen leave their boats out on the sand.On the 16th of July, they celebrate a fiesta in honour of their patron saint, “la Virgen de El Carmen”, in an enchanting setting where they eat sardines and have an outdoor celebration that includes dancing.Further along and parallel to the beach itself, we enter the urban centre of La Antilla, where its new promenade stands out, with its palm trees and terraces that almost extend as far as the sand.
