| The apartments of the Dona Lola resort are set right beside the sea amid heavily scented gardens, swaying palms and waterfalls, in a superb climate.
Dona Lola is ideally situated between Malaga Airport (half an hour drive) and Marbella (ten minute drive). This spacious 3 bedroom penthouse apartment is air-conditioned, and has superb panoramic views of the sea from its large Southerly facing balcony, the lounge, master bedroom, and shower !
It really is a spectacular vista. From this third (top) floor vantage point, the fishing boats can be seen leaving the beach in the morning, and struggling against the waves on the rougher days on their return a few hours later.
Larger boats and ships, including cruise ships, are constantly appearing on, and disappearing from, the horizon.
The apartment has 2 bathrooms with powerful shower over bath (one being en-suite to the master bedroom), and a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, giant fridge/freezer, microwave etc.
Each of the individually designed bedrooms have twin beds, making this apartment suitable for 6 single sex golfers, as well as, of course for families.
The comfortable and characterful lounge/dining room is equipped with satellite television, DVD, and hi-fi.
The Dona Lola resort offers an extensive range of sports and leisure facilities, both indoor and outdoor.
The outdoor pool starts at a shallow end safe for youngsters, and then meanders alongside the sea for 270 feet and under 3 bridges, before reaching the deep end! A wide range of reasonably priced food and drink is available from the pool-side terrace bar. The beach is just a few steps down from the loungers around the pool. (You can walk along the beach for as long as you want from here, in both directions. Walking right for thirty minutes will take you to Cabopino, a lovely harbour village with beautiful beach, good beach-bar, and a few up-market restaurants with lovely views. Walking left takes you to La Cala, a more typical Spanish village with good restaurants, lots of bars, and another really nice beach).
An additional Over 18's Outdoor Pool on Dona Lola provides a quieter facility at peak times, and our Indoor Leisure Complex offers a Jacuzzi, Sauna, Steam Room, Gym and of course, a heated Indoor Pool as well as a bar/ bistro (with free entertainment), snooker room, and table tennis room.
There are beach bars within ten minutes walk in both directions. There are several more bars and restaurants on the complex, many more just over the pedestrian bridge in Calahonda centre.
A local Spanish firm, "Sunshine Property Care", organise the cleaning of my apartment, the laundry and the repair or replacement of faulty items of furniture and equipment. This is an extremely beneficial arrangement for my guests (and of course for me too when I'm staying there!), because if you have any sort of problem they will sort it for you. They are a very useful contact also if you need any advice or help. So rest assured that if something goes wrong when you are on your holidays, either with you, your family or friends, or with the apartment, there is someone local and friendly to help. And of course they speak excellent English!
We all try to be very flexible with your travel arrangements; for example, we do not insist upon travelling and arriving on a particular day of the week.
