Slatters Cottage is a luxury Grade II listed 17th century stone cottage lovingly restored and available for holiday lets all year round.The cottage is situated in a quiet country lane with lovely views of the rolling hills and of the beautiful Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-Hill.

It has a wealth of character. On the ground floor is the kitchen and the lounge/dining area with a large inglenook fireplace with log burning stove, both with exposed stone wall and beamed ceilings, and an adjoining toilet and utility room.

Upstairs are one double (5’ pocket sprung mattress) with colour TV and one single bedroom, sleeping up to three people (plus baby), with lovely views over the village, and the bathroom with bath and shower-over-bath.

The cottage is fully equipped with a gas cooker, fridge with freezer compartment, separate freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and gas central heating. It also has a 21” colour TV, Freeview Box with digital radio, DVD player, CD/MP3 player with radio. There are a wide range of books, more than 120 DVD films, 150 music CDs and many games provided.

There is a payphone and you can get mobile reception (dependent upon your network). There is off-road parking directly outside the cottage for one car and further parking spaces are always available on the road directly by the cottage.

All linen (except for travel cot) and towels are provided free of charge. A travel cot and high chair can be provided at no extra cost. One well behaved dog is welcome (downstairs only) on request, for a small additional charge.

Located in the North Cotswolds, Bourton-on-the-Hill is ideally situated to act as your central base for visiting the many wonderful sites in the area from Warwick/Stratford-on-Avon to the North, Cheltenham & Bath to the South and the beauty spots of Broadway, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold and "The Slaughters", to name but a few, are all nearer to hand.

Local amenities include the renowned gastropub, The Horse & Groom, Village Hall and Bourton House & Gardens. To either side of the village there is farmland, running down to Batsford Arboretum and the Cotswold Falconry Centre.The nearest mainline station is in Moreton-in-Marsh, less than 2 miles away, where there are also antique & gift shops, pubs, restaurants (both eat in and take-away)/tea rooms and three supermarkets.

Our villa is in a flat area making it ideal for push chairs and the less able. It is less than 10 minutes stroll along the flat to the sandy beach and village centre. It is set in landscaped gardens and shares a large swimming pool and separate children's pool with the other villas on this small complex. The villa sits at the edge of the development and has beautiful views of the surrounding hills and mandarin groves from its large roof top terrace and first floor balcony. It is also a wonderful base for a summer holiday, with its hot summer climate and proximity to the lovely Lake Iskar as well as the Rila mountains for walking.
A holiday based in Chalet Elizabeth gives you the best of both worlds. You have easy access to the bustling ski resort of Borovets, only about 20 minutes drive away, but can experience a little more of the local flavour of the country you are visiting in the quiet rural escape that is Govedartsi. Here you will find the real Bulgaria with its friendly people, not to mention all manner of farm animals wandering free around the village. A real spectacle in itself.
The chalet is finished to a high western standard and provides generous, luxury accommodation for eight to eleven people. Its oil fired central heating and woodburning stove in the living room make it a cosy retreat after a long day's skiing, whilst its large bright and airy rooms provide a break from the hot summer sun.
There are two bedrooms downstairs, one double, which has its own entrance to the terrace, and one twin.There is also a shower room with toilet. Stairs go up from the kitchen to the first floor. The rental price includes all central heating and electricity costs.

Our resort manager will meet all guests on arrival to hand over the keys and for a welcome drink . He will also take the security deposit of £200/150 Euros/300 BGN from you. This will be returned at the end of your stay.He will advise on all aspects of your holiday and answer any queries you may have. He will be available throughout your holiday.

SUMMER IN GOVEDARTSI
The weather in summer is very warm and similar to the Mediterranean climate. There are many ways to take advantage of this.
The village of Govedartsi borders the Rila Mountain National Park, with its spectacular alpine scenery, deep forests and river gorges, and there is easy access to an endless number of valley and mountain trails. The area will be of particular interest to nature lovers and those that love the outdoor life and is a perfect destination for mountain hikers and mountaineers. The Rila mountain range boasts the highest mountain on the Balkan Peninsula (Mt Musala - 2,925 m) and the average height of the peaks are 2,700 m. The mountains are registered in the UN list of representative protected areas and are Bulgaria's largest national park - 81,000 hectares, two thirds of which is forested. The park contains over 100 peaks, with deep and dramatic river gorges, lakes and waterfalls. The national parks authority has marked many trails and built bridges and information boards and there are mountain chalets for hikers to shelter for the night, making it possible to walk to the Rila Monastery, for example. Another popular walk is to see the Seven Lakes.
The area also offers many other outdoor activities such as horse riding, extreme sports, and mountain biking. The entire area is renowned for its eco environment and stunning natural beauty. There is a wealth of natural beauty to admire and enjoy and lovely, easier walks for those not so energetic amongst us. The Cherni Iskar River, which runs through the village, provides many beautiful spots to enjoy picnics and relax, perhaps doing a little fishing.
10 minutes drive from Govedartsi, on the way to Borovets, is the town of Samokov. This is a typical Bulgarian town with a wealth of real Bulgarian character.It is also considerably cheaper than the tourist resort of Borovets. It has many shops and a fascinating market is held every Monday morning, even in the freezing cold of winter. It has a brand new, large supermarket stocking everything, which some people may prefer to the smaller shops. Eating out here is incredibly cheap too!
Govedartsi is a short drive from Lake Iskar, a large and impressive expanse of water with its beaches and watersports. There is a lovely outdoor swimming pool, with terraces and gardens for sunbathing, just 10 minutes away on the way to the town of Samokov. There is another outdoor pool in Samokov itself. The golfers in your group might like to try the Ihtiman golf course, also just a short drive away. There are also many natural spas nearby.
Although further away, (approx 90 minutes), the Rila Monastery must not be missed. It is Bulgaria's largest and most famous monastery, founded in 927AD and hidden high in the Rila mountains. There is also a monastery in Samokov which is worth a visit as well as the Bulgarian King's Residence which is in Borovets.
For those who prefer towns and cities, the old Roman town of Plovdiv offers monuments and ruins from the days of the Roman Empire. Sofia, the Bulgarian capital, is widely regarded as the "new Prague". Steeped in history the city is a mecca for shopping.
WINTER IN GOVEDARTSI
The snow usually covers the whole area from mid December until early April and still covers the peaks right into the middle of summer.
When visiting in winter, Borovets is obviously the place to head for. It is the oldest and most popular mountain resort in Bulgaria, lying at 1350m. It is set in pine woods and provides a variety of ski runs amongst beautiful scenery. All levels of skiers are catered for and it is particularly good for beginners. The skiing facilities have undergone a lot of improvements lately, with new lifts and runs. These are part of the Super Borovets Project, an enormous investment in the area aiming at an Olympics bid for 2014. There are many more lifts and runs planned and the improvements are set to continue for several years.
The resort of Borovets is very lively and colourful. Local transport includes horse drawn sleighs which add to it’s character. It has a wealth of restaurants and bars, as well as many nightclubs and discos. All food tastes are catered for, as are all budgets. There is an active apres ski scene and some quite unusual "adult" entertainment! Non-skiers are also provided with lots to do including bowling, swimming and fitness facilities based in the larger hotels. Borovets has something to offer all types of skiers, from groups of singles through to families with young children, as well as being extremely good value for money.

You can fish all day and night if you want at no extra cost. Area is ideal for walking and cycling, as it is very rural, but it is also within easy reach of all amenities. Dax with every shop imaginable is only 10 kms. away. Clermont has it's own bar restaurant and small shop. Nearest market town Pommerez, 5 km.

Sant Mateu will meet any need as so much is on offer: from a historical walk around the old town to hiking in the hills or mountains . Beaches are within a short drive or if you just want to sit back and take in the local cuisine while sitting in the Plaza Mayor you will not be disappointed. The same journey that will take you to the Panoramica Golf Course branches off towards the beach in Vinoros and then onto to the shopping centre. It is advisable to have a car to make the most of your time while staying at Caso Olivio but Sant Mateu also offers a bus service that can take you to Castellon and Morella. Fiestas take place in Sant Mateu regularly so if you plan your holiday well I'm sure the experience of taking part in one will leave a lasting impression. If you like to to do sporty activities while on holiday there is the pool in the summer months with a Table Tennis table. There are 3 swimming pools, with large sun terraces and ample sun loungers, as well as a court area offering tennis, basketball and five-a-side football. There is also a pool table, table tennis and children's play area available. So whether you want to laze in the sun or be more active the complex is an ideal place to stay.

The apartment itself has a large bedroom with twin beds, reading lamps, bedside cabinets, a dresser and mirrors and a fan.

The bathroom includes a bath and overhead shower. The american style kitchen has a fridge/freezer, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and iron and is fully stocked with crockery and cutlery.

The large lounge has 2 sofas, one being a sofa bed, as well as a TV/DVD player, CD/Radio system, fan and a heater (for winter evenings).

Outside there is a large balcony with a table with parasol, reclining chairs and sun loungers.

The apartment is in a quiet area away from the pool.

Next to the complex is a new shopping mall where you will find the nearest supermarket, cafes etc. The Beach is a 5/10 minute walk as is the main road where you will find the rest of the shops, bars and restaurants.

One bedroom apartment sleeps 4 a few minutes walk from beach and town

This lovely apartment overlooks the floolit swimming pool and is just a few minutes stroll from the golden sandy beach and the resort centre of Caleta de Fuste.

It has been well furnished and equipped and has two terraces which means you can lap up the sun all day - that is, if you choose not to lounge on the sun beds by the pool. We have tried to equip it with everything you need for an enjoyable holiday - whether it be a golf holiday or relaxing sunshine vacation - even down to a hair dryer.

The kitchen has a washing machine, microwave, ceramic hob, fridge freezer, toaster, electric kettle and all glassware and plates and cooking utensils. There is also an iron and ironing board. In the lounge there is a TV, video and DVD player and we always leave a selection of films there. The bedroom opens on to a private terrace and has twin beds and a safety deposit box. In the lounge there is a sofa bed and the sofa can also be used as a bed.

The apartment is suitable for 3/4 depending on the ages of the party. The sunny lounge itself opens on to a balcony overlooking the pool so you can keep a discreet eye on any children. Bed linen and towels are provided (though not beach towels) and changed weekly.

We live in a rural area and the apartment is fully self-contained (toaster, kettle, coffee machine and microwave) and approx. 56 sqm in size.

The living/kitchen area has a sofa bed (double), TV and Radio/CD-Player. The bedroom (upstairs) has two single beds. The bathroom has a shower and toilet. Use of a washing machine, dryer and a big outdoor area is available.

Now and then you can see wild emus on our property. A wide variety of birds, like splendid wren, honeyeaters, robins and of course kookaburras, all enjoy our garden. Burns Beach, Joondalup City with Shopping Centre, Restaurants, Train station and Cinema and Carramar Golf Course are 10 Minutes away (by car).
