This lovely house was renovated in 2011 and is situated in the mountain village of Bocado, 7kms from Arganil in beautiful Central Portugal. There are wonderful views from the front terrace and spectacular sunsets at night! There are 3 double bedrooms 2 with a double bed and a smaller twin bedroom, all have wardrobes. The interior of Finca Ortiz is beautifully finished and decorated in rustic style, spacious sitting-living room, with fireplace and Sat. From the outside terraces and porch as well from the pool area you will enjoy spectacular views through the mountains down to a wide expanse Mediterranean sea. Central heating throughout. The small white village of CÃ³mpeta is at only 3,5, km distance. Since July 2009 the whole way to Finca Ortiz is over a tarmac road. Only the last 200-300 meters are quite steep. Villa Sophia is a luxury, detached villa on a small complex of 23 villas, the Azelea Villas, right in the centre of Yalikavak. Most of the villas in the centre of the village are residential, and not available for holiday rental. The majority of holiday rental properties are well out of the village, high up on the hillsides, making car rental a necessity. Our villa is in a flat area making it ideal for push chairs and the less able. It is less than 10 minutes stroll along the flat to the sandy beach and village centre. Here you will find a beautiful old, unspoilt harbour with a variety of shops and restaurants.
It is set in landscaped gardens and shares a large swimming pool and separate children's pool with the other villas on this small complex. The villa sits at the edge of the development and has beautiful views of the surrounding hills and mandarin groves from its large roof top terrace and first floor balcony. It is west facing and so gets the evening sun. Super for an evening drink on the balcony.
Downstairs there is a large open plan living space providing a well equipped kitchen area with barbecue terrace, dining area with large dining table and chairs as well as sitting room. There is a large ground floor terrace leading out from the sitting room which provides a lovely outdoor eating area. As the villa is set back a little from the pool, this is very private and not overlooked.The ground floor also features a spacious cloakroom and toilet.
On the first floor the master (double) bedroom has an ensuite shower room and its own private balcony. Relaxing chairs and a table are provided making it a lovely place to finish the day.The second bedroom provides twin accommodation. The third bedroom has a set of full size bunkbeds. There is also a foldup bed, if required, for a seventh person.The main family bathroom provides a bath with overhead power shower.
The stairs lead up further to the spacious roof top terrace with spectacular panoramic views. This is furnished with large cushions and a low table in the "Turkish Corner" style.
The villa is beautifully finished to a very high standard.As it is used as our own holiday home it is better equipped than would be expected. We have decorated it with original paintings and artwork, giving it that special touch. It has plenty of wardrobe and other storage space.
EQUIPMENT FOR YOUNG CHILDREN/BABIES
We understand the difficulties of travelling with young children/babies, especially with the current luggage restrictions.To this end, we provide the following items:
Baby cot (with linen),high chair,children's crockery/cutlery, potty.
We can supply nappies on request (extra charge payable locally).

The villa will be cleaned and prepared for your arrival, including making up the beds. Towels are provided for your use in the villa only. Please bring your own swimming towels.The linen and towels will be replaced with fresh ones after the first week, for two week stays.

Our local managers will meet you to hand over the keys. They will visit you most days and take care of all your holiday needs.

Sun loungers are provided for your use.
There is plenty of parking on the development. There is also 24 hour security.
We can organise AIRPORT TRANSFERS for you. For those with late flights home, luggage can be stored in the security office (we can accept no liability for this).It may be possible to check out of the villa later, for a local fee, if there are no incoming guests.

This pretty newly built house comprises of 2 flats, each on one floor. They are set in quiet surroundings, and the distance to the centre of Frangokastello and the long sandy beach is about 1 km. Bansko and Pamporovo closed end of March this year but Borovets finished the season at the end of April and then still had plenty of snow. Don't forget that ski season in Borovets is the most reliable from all 3-that is a fact.

Back to the villa: The chalet and luxury log cabin are next to the main paths for hiking and mountaineering up the highest mountain in Bulgaria and in the southeast of Europe. Water sports are 20 min away(on the biggest lake in Bulgaria), fishing -2min(the local river in particular is quite abundant with fish and permits are available during fishing season), mineral spa centre-20min(summer season), golf 35-45 min(more in construction).

The chalet and cabin are situated in a prominent place and occupying a premier sheltered position, deep inside the ground but in the best spot for these important views up the snowy capped mountain peaks. Our spacious 3 bed/2 bath ground and first floor condo apartments are a complete home from home, fully furnished and sleeping up 6-8 guests each.
